I’m Jenel Faye Sonthonax oldest sister of seven, born in the Bronx, raised in Broward County, Florida. 👑
I joined the United States Navy straight out of high school, wearing a uniform before I even figured out who I was without one. The military gave me discipline, a husband I love, and my first child but it also taught me how easy it is to hide behind a role and forget to look in the mirror.
Because once the uniform came off? I didn’t even recognize the woman staring back at me.
I didn’t come from riches but I didn’t come from rags either. What I did come from was a place where nobody showed me what sisterhood looked like… or love, for that matter.
I didn’t have anybody.
No big sister to warn me what to look out for.
No older woman to tell me what real friendship is.
Nobody to show me how to give love… or how to receive it.
So I figured it out the only way I knew how by becoming the person I wished I had for everybody else.
For my younger siblings, my friends, even strangers who just needed someone to listen.
I was that safe space for everyone else… but deep down, I was still searching for that person for me.
That search led me to my own healing. To peeling back the layers, learning myself, and finally filling the emptiness I’d carried for so long.
And that journey?
It birthed what you see today: The Sister Gap™ movement.
A space, a game, a community for women like me, who never had anyone to guide them, but are finally ready to reflect, connect, and love themselves and each other the way we all deserve.
I’m here to help women close that gap.
Between who they are and the love, sisterhood, and connection they’ve been missing.
Because we’re stronger together. And it’s time to keep it real.
👑 Welcome to The Sister Gap™.
